RTC battery not detected error 2000-0411
Unclipped and reclipped battery and now laptop E6400 will not boot up.
The diagnosis screen shows battery as there and in moderate condition.
Ran the on board repair but it failed to resolve issue.

Try a new one and make sure it is installed correctly with printed info visible. If a new cmos battery doesn't work, the motherboard could be defective.

Hi Thanks. Unfortunately this is an ex business use machine and there is an admin password required to reset the date/time function.

Solving one problem (the clock battery) will solve the other (the password) -- replace the mainboard.
