plug it into the tv, and turn it on in your Video control panel.

I have an Inspiron 4000 that was shipped with the TV-out S-video port. I have hooked up my laptop to the tv using an s-video cable but not getting the picture. When my laptop starts up, i can see the startup screen on the tv for 2-4 seconds and the picture goes away. I tried everything from using different cables to different tvs to isolate the problem but keep getting the same result. So, I'm asuming something wrong at the laptop end - particulary, that s-video port, the drivers, e.t.c.

I would appreciate it if anyone could help me out with this one. Thank You!

I'm using an Inspiron 5150 and attempting to hook up to a TV.

I have the audio splitter connected and am getting audio just fine.

I have the S-Video hooked to my laptop with a converter to a plug that will plug into my TV. However, I am not getting any video. I read somewhere that I need to "turn on" the s-video output somewhere. Is this correct? If so, how do I do so. I can't seem to find any suggestions in the HELP files.

This is an URGENT request. I'm leaving for a reunion super early tomorrow morning and I need to be able to play some video's from my hard drive as well as DVD's. If I can't get this running correctly, I'm in serious trouble.

PLEASE HELP!!!

If you can help me, please send me an email to: w5blt@w5blt.com ASAP!

Thanks,

Bob
