Setting up a domain account and control+alt+delete on xp pro

Question

I just reinstalled xp pro sp2, and I can't remember how I setup my domain account and control+alt+delete to get to the logon screen.  If anyone has a quick overview, I would be grateful. Thanks, Sean

Go to your Control Panel and then open up 'User Accounts'.   Note, you must be logged on with Administrator privelages.    Then click on 'Change the way users log on and off'.   Uncheck the 'Use the Welcome screen'.   This will make you use the Windows classic sign on and off screen like you want.

Skav,   I am just adding to what Bay Wolf said.   If you right click on 'My Computer' and go to 'Properties' (System Properties in Control Panel)   Then go to the 'Computer Name' tab --> click on 'Change' --> select the 'Domain' dot thingy   There you can enter your Domain and hit 'OK'   Windows should take care of the rest and prompt you with a username and password box.   That will also add the control, alt, delete login option you were talking about.   Hope this helps. Talinkio

In any event if you hit Ctrl+Alt+Delete combo twice at the XP welcome screen you will get the W2K type logon screen.

That is true, in XP if there is an account other than the Administrator the welcome screen does not show the Administrator. You can do what Ed said and login with any user account. It is really nice actually.

Thanks for the tips guys, I was able to change the logon, but to setup the domain, I need to be at work.  I'll be in tomrrow so I'll finish then.  Thanks again.
