SM Bus Controller
A Dell technician walked me through reinstalling Vista on an Inspiron 1545. Now the system is stating it can't find the drivers for the SM Bus Controller. I have searched Dell's site and I am unable to find the right driver. I am not sure where else to look.
Dell Inspiron 1545
Windows Vista Home Basic
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.10 GHz
4 GB RAM
320 GB HD

You need to install the chipset driver.

The chipset driver is installed, along with all the other drivers on the resource CD.

The question is whether the drivers were properly installed. Once the OS is installed, you must install the Dell notebook system software, reboot and install the chipset driver. Then install all the others - were they installed in that order?
