STOP error for video device driver

Every time I try to install the windows updates waiting, or at seemingly random actions, our inspiron 640m gives us a blue screen STOP serious error message. When we re-start we get a error report sent to microsoft , the consequent crash site tells us various things around a device driver, or specifically the video device driver, being a problem but never points out how to solve the problem. What do I do next? Any similar?

This is a paste of one of the messages, but what I don't get is that any scan for updates I perform doesn't pick up that I need to install a new driver for the video card? Why would it crash on unrelated microsoft security update installations?
