STUDIO 1535 LAPTOP HEATING UP

I own a STUDIO 1535 LAPTOP for 1+ yr now. I am now out of the 1 yr support contract. For the past 1 month, my laptop heats up if I keep it on continuously for more than half hour and shuts down. I will then have to leave it as is for 15-20 and switch it on - again to have the same issue in the next 30 minutes. I am really frustrated about it :((

I also bought this laptop fans that go as a base below the laptop. I have been using it for a month now but without any much improvements .....

Could someone tell me if there is a resolution to this problem ?
