Updating Intel 4600 driver

I've got a XPS 9530 (2013ish) and see Dell has a new video driver posted as of 12/2017.  Entering my Service Code and running the scan tells me I need to update the video driver.

I downloaded the installer and ran it but it failed with a message saying my laptop didn't meet the minimum requirements.  All the other drivers are updated.  Why would the recommended driver package return a message saying my system didn't meet the requirements.  And, is there anything I can do to force it to update the driver?

Are you selecting the right driver for your OS?

Some models have drivers for more than one OS.

As far as I can tell, it's the only driver available.

And it's the one the Dell Scanner recommends, too.

But yes, it's the Windows 10 Driver.

Not sure what's going on, but fyi you can download Version 4835 of the Intel 4600 driver directly from Intel.  The catch is that you have to download them in zip format and then use the "Have Disk" method in Device Manager to force the driver to install.  I did that on my own XPS 15 9530 a few weeks ago because the previous official release (which was a few years old) worked, but Windows Update would replace it with a version that caused 4 non-existent displays to appear in Windows Display Settings.  It was a known issue with that GPU on systems that had Hyper-V installed, and Intel only JUST fixed it a few weeks ago with 4835.  Until then, I had to use Group Policy to block driver updates from Windows Update.  Anyway, if you're in a rush to get that driver installed, that's a workaround until Dell delivers a fix.

OK, then, is the Dell version 20.19.15.4835 ,A03  the same as Intel's 15.40.37.4835?

Are the last 4 the operative number for the correct driver?  Or does Dell get stinky with non-Dell massaged drivers?

Based on the release timing and the build portion of the version being identical, I would assume so, but again I haven't experimented with the Dell driver since I got the Intel one first and it's been working fine for me.
