Using Windows Media player with 2300MP projector
I'm having a problem in my classroom trying to project from my Inspiron 9300 to 2300MP projector when using Window Media player. I can projector presentations all day long. When I attempt to show a video lesson using the media player the projector loses the image from the laptop.
I normal oonly connect the rgb cable and usb cable. I thought maybe because I'm trying to show video I should also provide s-cable connection. Unfortunately, it didn't cure the problem.
Do I need to change a setting on the projector? Do I need to change from PC mode to video mode?
I don't have much time to troubleshoot in class. I just have to move on and try to figure this out after school.
I'm sure it's an easy fix. I'm just a little stumped right now.

Video will only display on the primary monitor. If what you're getting on the projector is a WMP window with black where the video should be, that's the primary monitor issue. What video card do you have? On my ATI card, the primary monitor settings are in Display Properties - Settings tab - Advanced button, Displays tab: it's a teal-coloured button under each display picture.
Let us know if that doesn't fix your problem, and we'll try to offer other possible solutions.
