Vostro 1000 had coffee spilled on it!

My wife spilled coffee on her work laptop, it turns on then beeps loudly and that’s it until it is turned off.
Any suggestions?
Anything would help she is a marriage and family therapist and a lot of her work is on this machine so she is very stuck until this resolved.
Thanks in advance for any advice I build and repair desktop PC'S but laptops are not my thing.

You can pull the hard drive and mount it in a 2.5" USB 2.0 case, attach it to a working system and recover the data.
As for the system, the mainboard is fried - that's $350-500 to replace, and not worth it on a budget system like this one. Recover the data as above and replace the notebook with a new one.
