When to update drivers from Intel?

I have an Inspiron 5547 Windows 7 and I would like to put all of the recommended updates on. I have watched the video and read the FAQ. I ran Windows update yesterday for both required and optional. There was a package of Intel HD Graphics that updated with Windows updates. I ran PC Checkup under Dell and saved the logfile to my desktop. Now I am looking at Dell recommended updates for my detected system and trying to figure out if I should really install all of these Intel updates. Will the Dell recommended updates replace any of the updates that installed last night with Windows updates? One example: In my logfile Video Card - Intel(R) HD Graphics Family Vendor Name Intel Corporation Interface PCI Video Card Chip Type Intel(R) HD Graphics Family Video Card Memory 2.06 GB Video Card BIOS Intel Video BIOS Driver Provider Intel Corporation Driver Version 10.18.10.3621, 5-16-2014 Now in recommended updates under Dell: Intel HD Graphics Driver View details Video_Driver_Y25KH_WN_10.18.10.3496_A00.EXE | Update Package for Microsoft® Windows® (149 MB) Video | Release date 6/27/2014 | Last Updated 7/3/2014 | Recommended Version 10.18.10.3496,A00 As you can see the Version from Dell is a lower number. But the release date is later. So should I install this driver from Dell or not? Should each Intel update be checked to see if I already have a more recent version?

I talked with several people.  One was an IT person at a large company who automatically puts on every recommended driver from Dell's website.  The support person at Dell small business told me that when there is a problem, he recommends downloading the most recent driver from Intel's website to see if that fixes the problem.  He said that dates do not match when you install a driver and he did not know why.  He looks at the version number.  If my version numbers are recent on new laptops, I'm not downloading drivers unless I have a problem or I hear otherwise.
