Windows error recovery - Dell Studio
When starting up, a black screen comes up with windows error recovery with the options to launch startup repair or start windows normally. Each option takes me back to the same page. When I hit F8 to repair your computer, I am taken back to the windows error recovery screen again. Please help!

Start with an extended hard drive diagnostic - F12 at powerup. Boot to the Dell diagnostics and run the quick test. Then boot to to the full diagnostics and run an extended hard drive test (will take a couple of hours).

See if you can do a system restore to an earlier time when the problem hadn't occured through f12, i think this failed for me, I spent hours on end searching the web for a solution but couldn't find any that worked! tried PC world and they were going to charge a bomb!
In then end I had to re-install windows!
I really hope you can find a solution soon
