XPS 1530 Auto DC adapter

Available Auto DC adapters for the XPS 1530?

Best one to run the laptop in the car while also charging the battery?

It would be AC, but yeah, Dell's offering has served me plenty well.

OK, So Dell offers their 65w slim adapter, but I believe that powers the laptop in the car, but does not

charge the battery at the same time. Another option is the 90w Lind DE2045-1320 adapter, but Dell doesn't list it as compatable with the XPS M1530.

I called Dell and verified with them verbally that the Lind 90w was in fact compatable. The Dell employee verified "yes" after I was on hold for quite some time, but she didn't come across to me as 100% confident in her answer.

So I called Lind directly (their website states that it is compatable) and verified with them that it indeed is the correct adapter from them and will charge the battery as well. It is/does.

So I just went back and ordered the Lind 90w DE2045-1320 ($125.99) online from Dell since I had a $75 online coupon they'd given us for a problem (very small problem) when the laptop was ordered.

I'll try to remember to update this thread when the adapter arrives and I have a chance to ue it.

Ah don't tell me that it doesn't charge the battery...I purchased the Dell Slim Auto Adapter for my daughter's XPS M1330 which arrived this past Monday. We're going to try it out tomorrow on our way to the soccer field just to confirm.
