Closing a .txt file.
I create a .txt file in Notepad.
Click on the "X" in the upper right corner, get "Do you want to save changes to Untitled?"
Click "Save", Insert "File name", click "Save".
The popup with the new File name closes, but the text file itself remains.
I've never experienced this before. In all previous computers and Windows versions, both close when I click "Save".
Is this a Dell computer issue or Windows 10 issue?
(If it is a Windows 10 issue, what is the solution to have them both close?)

Hi ji li,
Mine does the same thing on Windows 10 w/ Notepad. I believe you're right that it used to close the Notepad once you named the file, but it seems to want you to close it again after it has been named.

It definitely used to close at the same time in every previous Windows OS.
Pointless change - just makes unnecessary extra work.
Likewise clicking on a .txt stored document used to open it on screen.
Now clicking on the stored document minimizes it to system tray, pointless extra work to now have to click on minimized file in system try to pop it onscreen.

I agree it does not close but I do not agree it opens minimized in the system tray. I have seen programs which will open as an icon on the Taskbar but not a text file. Perhaps there is some setting we need to find.
You might try saving the files in a different location for testing. Also confirm Notepad is used to open .txt files in your default apps. And I would run a System File Check just in case.
I can't really think of why a text file would open in the system tray unless you were using some type of shortcut to open it.

Saltgrass - After reading your post I doublechecked.
If I go into my documents and click on a .txt file using either 1 or 2 left clicks, it opens correctly onscreen.
If I use the Search and then click twice on the file I want, it hits the screen and instantly minimizes to the system tray.
It happens so quickly I hadn't noticed before.
I assume thats a Windows 10 situation and not Dell?
So I have to get out of the habit of a rapid 2 left clicks on the Search files.
