Crysis on XPS M1730

Hi hope some one will be able to help me, I purchased the XPS m1730 core 2 duo T7500 2.2 Ghz,800,4M , 2048 memory,Vista Home Dual 256 mb Nvidia Go 8700m GT Graphic cards for my son's Christmas . I purchased the game CRYSIS for my self ( I am a non gaming peson). The game will not run on the notebook it gets to the point where you pick from the menu single player/ multi etc then the system crashes. Can anyone advise how to make this game work or will I use the disc as an ash tray! thanks.

I had the same problems. You need to upgrade your video driver. See the posts on this forum:

Hi and thanks for your help -- The update goes like this the video card had the lastest drivers --EA games washed there hand and refered the problem back to DELL.The nice man (Stephen) at the XPS help desk spent a long time, but could not get it sorted he then emailed with vista updates and the latest patch for the game. loaded the patch etc the game would not boot up. Removed  and reinstaled same thin happened  on the 3rd and final try it worked and the the game works. all too much like hard work for me -- you just want some thing to work first time. thanks
