Problems installing iPass Connect on Latitude D800
I have been trying to install iPass Connect 340_Win28266 File version 4.0.100.1190 in a Latitude D800 but I get the following message:
Severe
Database support not found
Your system must meet the following minimum system requirements:
1) Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 or higher - I have version 6
2) Windows 2K, Windows XP - I have XP
3) 16-bit colour mode (65536 colours) - I have 32-bit
4) Microsoft ADO version 2.0 or higher must be installed - how do I find this out?
I have got all the latest Microsoft security updates, etc and am running SP2.
Does anyone have any idea what this message means please?
Thanks

instead.
Windows 2000 comes with IE5.0 by default.
The Plugins and other drivers including MS Java VM are removed from XP and later OS.
The wang Imaging software is also not there on XP.
Several other "Issues" exist with XP.
This is one reason to upgrade from WIN98SE or 2000 to XP instead of doing a clean install
because you get the "missing" pieces that way.
