Replace Latitude Display... any worth it?
I have just bought a Dell Latitude E6520 and the "brilliant" idea to choos a 1920x1080 display.
At first I thought I could face tiny little fonts using larger DPI scaling built in Windows 7 and zooming webpages, however there's still too much software out there that won't support DPI scaling or it will badly.... clumky giant fonts overlapping, dialog boxes clipping out of the screen area.... a disaster.
As the latitude has a choice with a 1366x768 or a 1600xsomething displays, I was wondering if it will cost a lot replacing the display.... maybe I could try to sell the old one?
Any advice guys?

Since replacing the display panel (which will be a few hundred dollars at least) will cost you the warranty, yes, it could be a very expensive move. Better would be to replace the system, not the panel.

You can request replacement of a new system within 21 days of shipment - you may even be able to negotiate away the restocking charge if you re-order.
Replacing the screen on a brand-new system isn't a practical idea - it will cost you at least a couple of hundred dollars AND your warranty to do so.
