Soaked keyboard

Unfortunately the dog I was looking after wanted to wrestle with me and jarred the tv table I had my glass of water and my mini laptop on.  The glass dumped on the keyboard.  I immediately shook the machine and turned it while upside down to get as much water out as possible.  Then inverted it like a tent atop a piled bath towel to get as much as possible drained out.  It still will not come on the day after.

What can I do about it?  Could the battery be damaged?  It was plugged into an outlet at the time.

Remove the keyboard and check for water underneath.  Chances are at least the mainboard is toast.  What model?

I don't see any way to remove the keyboard, only the battery.  It's an Inspiron.

It's a mini-laptop.  I found some small screws on the bottom, so I guess I can remove it myself.  I've done hardware work successfully on my PC, so guess I can do this.  I see Dell has parts available, so guess that is my best way to go.  Do you agree?  I was hoping to bury it in rice or something like that would take care of the problem.  I really cannot get a replacement this year and need it when I go to visit my family in November.

What is the exact model. There are a few mini e.g. Inspiron mini 1012, Inspiron mini 1018, Inspiron mini 10v, inspiron mini 9.

Sorry, it's a refurbished and if there is a model number on it it's in extremely small print on the back.  I'm taking it to church with me today to see if a couple of guys who work on the church's computers can tell me anything.
