I use a Targus PAEPR090 on my M1330 (with XP SP2 loaded) works a treat using the drivers downloaded from targus. 5xUSB 2.0, Audio, Serial, Parrallell, 10/100 Network. Cost $120NZ.
I cannot say whether it would work with Vista - nothing else I tried seemed to.
thank u so much for your information. Did u have Vista first? and had a lot of trouble finding a docking station? I do have vista. Did u try the Targus w/Vista?
I got two Dell XPS M1330s within the past couple of months. I'm surprised that Dell does not offer a dock for this computer. Hopefully they will, given time. I've checked out docks provided by 3rd party vendors. They offer the convenience of a single dock, except for video. Apparently video is a tough one to do correctly in a dock. Some docks do include video, but to read the reviews of others, it sounds like the video is trouble-plagued. This was true 2 months ago. Maybe outside vendors are getting more savvy about market needs.
Fill me in if something comes to market that works.
I want to add one note on my previous posting. I am running Vista Home Premium and whether this would influence a dock design, I don't know. Unlike the masses out there protecting their XPs, I have found no problems with this edition of Vista. it works the way its supposed to, and that's all I ask.
