Backlit keyboard for Latitude 3440
Hi Fellow Members,
I am thinking of upgrading my Dell Latitude 3440 to 1TB SSD, 8 GB RAM, and with that I want to make some more peripheral changes too. So thinking of putting in backlit keyboard to it, but I am not sure whether it is possible to put in it?
If anyone has ever tried or know some source regarding backlit keyboard for Latitude 3440 then please let me know.
Cheers,
Rishu Mehra

There's no mention of a backlit keyboard in the manual -- so it's likely the answer is no, you can't install one.

Seems fair then, I'll install a new Keyboard to it as the current one have some dead keys.
Thanks, @ejn63 for the update.

i have the same problem.. my notebook 2013 model 14 inch .. and What is written in the forums is this.. If the motherboard has RGB port support, the RGB keyboard can be updated.. But if the motherboard does not have an RGB port, even if a lighted keyboard is connected, the lights will not work.. And there is no information about such a port in the computer's manual.. Depending on the model of the motherboard, you need to do a detailed search on the internet or disassemble the computer and see if there is an RGB port on the motherboard.. A computer technical service can understand this..
In the worst case scenario, it would be logical to buy an external RGB keyboard around 10-12 inches with a USB or Bluetooth connection. I will probably do it this way. I will also buy myself another computer as soon as possible. Using the computer in the dark has become torture.
