Built-in camera not being detected.

Has anyone else been experiencing the issue of the camera being undetected randomly by the device? We have started to notice this on newer devices while older devices continue to work. Notably, Latitude 3450s and now 7650s. I have run through all the support steps from this article since it is the same error. None of this has worked. https://www.dell.com/support/kbdoc/en-us/000125158/resolving-the-we-can-t-find-your-camera-0xa00f4244-nocamerasareattached-error

I was able to get another error code from running the SupportAssist app scan on the 7650 of PCI Status Tests - D0702 from the Video Card and PCI Status categories.

We have this issue with WIPI camera not working on Latitude 7450s running Windows 11. Our older 7420s running Windows 10 are fine.

Dell have provided workaround to install drivers in the correct order but windows update breaks them so it's been very time consuming manually updating drivers as a workaround.

@UKGrant
Do you have the link to that workaround?

I'm also having this issue on my brand new Latitude 7450. Any advice would be appreciated.

Any solution for this? Same problem with a handful of older 7310's on 11. Have tried all recommended fixes; no luck.

Support told us this is related to a Windows Update - which is curious since we have 38 of the same model and 30 have the same update. Only 3 with the camera problem.

@Shader_ - I'm inclined to believe it's more hardware failure. Much like the fan failure(s) that plagues all the 73xx's we own/deploy. Either way, Dell and/or MS, through collaboration or independently, need to fix this problem, sooner than later. The "supply chain issues" excuse no longer flies.

@machineghost Any idea how I can communicate or prove that to Dell Support? Obviously a hardware problem would be covered under the warranty we pay for, but during the troubleshooting they point at our software being the fault (since the device is detected in device manager, but not any camera software)
