dell 7770 and WD19dcs

At the office and having issues hooking up a new 7770 laptop, and a brand new out of the box w19dcs dock. This is hooked up to two Samsung 4k monitors that i have hooked up a dozen times before. Using DP and HDMI, the first monitor that is hooked up can be set to 4k, teh second one no matter which order can only be set to 2k, 4k isn't even an option. We have replaced the dock 3 times, we have replaced the cables, tried dual DP, drivers are up to date, firmware is up to date. Any help would be great.

You've posted in the Latitude forum, but 7770 likely refers to a Precision 7770.

There is a note in the documentation for the dock quoted:

"NOTE HDMI2.0 and MFDP (Multi-Function DisplayPort) Type-C ports on the back of all docks in the WD19 family are toggled. HDMI2.0 and MFDP Type-C cannot support dual monitors simultaneously. Only one of these ports can be used as a display device at a time."

For what you're trying to do, you would be better off with a Thunderbolt dock and daisy-chaining the monitors from it.

Full documentation for that docking station here:

The WD19DCS is not a Thunderbolt dock -- it's a USB-C dock.

The Dell docks with Thunderbolt have a "T" in the  model number.

Your dock manual is here:

https://www.dell.com/support/manuals/en-us/dell-wd19dcs-dock/wd19dcs_user_guide/display-resolution-table?guid=guid-cb54f38b-163a-41bf-8b2e-3e6f3835d2ea&lang=en-us

The Thunderbolt dock is the WD19TBS.
