Dell Latitude 12 E7000 (E7250) possible overheating.

Question

I am having a second-hand Dell Latitude E7250 as a replacement to my aging Acer TravelMate 3270 from 2006 (it is still running Windows 10). One problem arises with the Dell is it tends to get hot pretty quickly on the bottom side of the laptop, especially with the bottom plate section. I check the temperature in Open Hardware Monitor and it shows up when in full load is only nearly 80 degree Celsius. The Acer also pretty hot but the bottom is cooler than the Dell although the Acer uses the 35-watt TDP Core 2 Duo T5500 while the Dell uses the ULV 15-watt TDP Core i5-5300U. Is anyone having the same problem as me? My E7250 specs is:

CPU: Intel Core i5-5300U

RAM: 6GB of RAM

Storage: SSD 128gb

GPU: Intel HD Graphics 5500

You can comment with your other Dell laptops and before as well, especially with the one before 2015 and have E-dock connector.

Has the system ever had internal maintenance? That is, has it been opened up and cleared of all dust, and had the heatsink pads replaced? If not, that's long overdue and should significantly reduce the temperature of the system.

Yes, i have opened the computer and see the fan nearly have no dust.

OK, the problem is probably fixed when I installed Windows 11 on that.

Hey man Ive been facing the same problem on my Latitude E7250 i5-5300U. Same as yours.
It heats up alot from the bottom left side even at times when I'm not doing heavy tasks. There is no dust in it. Did you find a solution to this problem? Please share. Thanks.

@blurryface​ I cleaned the cooler, changed the thermal paste, formatted the computer and installed Win10 with the latest drivers available and it didn't solve the problem. I disabled turbo boost in the BIOS, since then it hasn't turned off anymore.
