Dell Latitude 5480 Hardware Audio Problems
I have been having audio issues with my Latitude 5480 for a while now, initially I thought this was a driver issue but it is persistent across Debian 12 and Windows 10 so I believe it is a hardware issue. The issues involve freezing and stuttering when trying to change volume, freezing of applications when audio is playing, consistently spaced speaker pops when booting, speakers sounding blown out, speakers sometimes not working, laptop not recognising when aux is plugged in, volume control stating audio services are not running when services state they are, etc.
I have good reason to believe it is a grounding issue, one of the screw holes with small bits of solder around them like in the image below has a point where the solder is melted and bridges 2 points around the screw. I lack the knowledge to be sure if this is the issue.

If anyone has insight or has experienced similar issues your help would be extremely appreciated :)

Adding to this, all of the issues are inconsistent. Bluetooth and USB C audio still work as intended.
