Dell latitude e5450 not working while charging

Question

Hi all

I have dell latitude e5450.

The problem started today when I put the laptop on charging the laptop is not working and the power light is working for less than a second and turn of. The battery light is working but the laptop is not working also I can hear something inside the laptop when I plugged the power cable.

Also before that I plugged the power to the laptop when it was working perfectly the laptop started freezing and its not charging when I plugged it out its working good.

Is there any solution for this problem???

What is the state of the machine now? Is it working fine without an adapter? Does the adapter LED remain on when connected to the machine? What is the status of the device status LED's?

Machine is working fine without adapter.

The adapter LED remains on while connected to laptop.

The battery led is on but the machine is not working (when connected to adapter) and will turn off after maybe 2 minutes.

and when I connected the adapter the power led is just turn on and off for less than 1 second.

Dear

I uploaded a video and some picture to my Google drive you can see it.

The video I recorded yesterday for the problem and you can see the led status.

Today I changed the adapter and let me explain what happened:

1. When I plugged the adapter I faced the same problem like yesterday video.

2. After 1 min I tried to power on the laptop and its working but there is a warning message:

F1 to continue

F2 to enter the setup

F5 to run diagnostic tools

I pressed F1 to continue to Windows, the Windows and I faced a new problem here the mouse movement is too slow and the windwos is running slowly, I plugged out the adapter the windows working fine without any problems but there is no charge in battery so the laptop is stopped working

3. I took the second step again but this time I pressed on run diagnostic tool to see if there is any hardware problem, you can see the pictures in drive also. There is a warning saying the charger is not detected please attach the charger now. And there is another light coming from battery led I attached all that picture on the drive below.

Thanks for the pictures and video. So, now even with a different adapter it is not charging? Could you please go to BIOS by tapping F2 and send the pic via google drive in private message. ^VA
