Dell latitude e6230 fan Malfunction error

Hello,

on my dell latitude e6230 is displayed on boot this error:

Fan malfunction

to continue press F1 key

to change setup option press F2 key

to run onboard diagnostics press f5 key.

I've ran unboard diagnostics but it didn't find any issues, i've also cleaned the dust in the fan. Can anyone help me?

There is an electrical component on Dell fans and one of its functions is to interface with the Power On Self Test.

Two possibilities, especially since this is an 8 year old PC.   Either the fan electronics has malfunctioned and if this is the case the fan will have to be replaced with a new Dell fan; or a bad fan connection to the system (mother) board.  With it powered off, reseat (unplug then plug back in) the fan connector.

Service Manual. Page 27 details the fan.

OK, I will try. But the funny fact is that the pc does not show the message every time it is turned on, but 1 in 5 times
