DELL Latitude E6440 GPU Upgrade
Hi,
I have a DELL Latitude E6440 laptop with the
I recognized that there is an another Latitude E6440 laptop with external AMD Radeon HD 8690M video card. Is that possible to upgrade my laptops GPU with that AMD Card or with another card.
Thank you for your interest.

The only way to attach an external GPU is to install an interposer card in the Wifi or WWAN socket.
That carries several compromises:
First, the socket is low bandwidth - you'll never see anywhere near good performance from a GPU connected to it.
Second, once installed, the system becomes immobile -- you can't close up the system due to the cables required.
Third, you'll need an external screen connected directly to the GPU - you can't back-feed the video output to the internal display panel.
Essentially, you end up with a desktop system; if you need a better GPU, buying a desktop system - - even used -- that can take the GPU you want and run it at its design speed is a far better idea; you'll then still have a mobile system for portable use that's intact.

Welcome to the Dell Community @Stargazer89
Do you want to try an "External GPU"
Or upgrade the "Internal" GPU.
External: Not sure if it can be done or not???
Internal: There is no GPU card, you would need to upgrade the system board.
