I have dell e6530 which was doing updates on windows 10 and I had to run to a meeting and I closed the laptop before it completes the updates on windows 10. Now my screen can’t switch on and the IT says is motherboard.
my previous dell also I was told is motherboard issues, What can I do to fix the problem, computer switches on but the screen is black.

Verify that they did the basics:
Unplug the system, remove or disconnect the battery and hold the power button for 30 sec. Remove and reinstall the memory modules and hard/solid state drive.
Plug in (leave the battery disconnected) and see if the system will power up. If it does, reconnect the battery and try again; if the battery stops the powerup, it's bad.
If you still get nothing, they're likely correct. If this is a business system, they likely won't want to pay for a repair on a 7 year old notebook, but it's up to your IT support people.
