E5470 SSD drive upgrade
Hi just got a Lattitude E5470 .. It has a very small 128 SSD in it ..
But it looks like I can put 2 SDDs in it?
as I could get a bigger one and run windows of the 128 SSD one?
Thanks

The E5470 only has the capability of a single M.2 SSD. You could replace the 128 GB SSD with a larger one and clone or image the smaller drive to the larger drive.

Easiest way is to buy a larger drive in the same format as the existing one and replace the existing drive.
Though it does appear you can have two drives, it will require the purchase of mounting hardware from Dell Spare Parts.

The Crucial web site lists all the way up to and including a 2 TB SSD (NVMe/PCIe). So that drive would be fine.

Hi, is it kindly possible to know if also 2 of this one will fit on this Dell e5470 laptop please? https://it.crucial.com/ssd/p2/ct2000p2ssd8
So, for a total of 4GB SSD (2x2 of the linked Crucial modules) inside this laptop? I remember Dell Laptops are also the most flexible and long lived about the possibilities of upgrading them, but I can't check right now unless some Dell account can reply about this specific laptop I'm about to buy on eBay for a friend not so much expert.
Will the Dell e5470 BIOS resist or need to be upgraded for that 2 or 4 TB upgrade with those Crucial SSD? Or the original BIOS have no problem with this Crucial SSD?
Also: in this moment (August/September 2022) in your opinion which is the best possible upgrade of RAM and SSD that is 100% possible on this specific Dell Laptop?
Thanks SO much for your precious help and congratulation for your amazing expertise bro!
