E6430: Replacement drive caddy screws
Recently I had to remove the hard drive caddy in my Latitude E6430 and had the good luck to lose the external screw holding it onto the laptop chassis. What kind of screws do I need to replace them? I see various designations like M3x3 (and that may not be the kind I need), but I'm not sure exactly what those mean.

The E6430 bottom door which includes the HD caddy is fastened with M2.5x5 screws.

They are metric screws.
If you need to buy them, I buy them on eBay. Search for "M2.5x5" 2 for $2.46

Actually I was hoping to find them at a local hardware store. Would Home Depot or Lowe’s be likely to carry a screw like that?

They won't carry anything that small. Your best local source should be a PC repair shop in your neighborhood.
