E7250 want power on
Hi, I have Dell E7250 and I updated my bios system .When I successfully updated my bios I power on my laptop and after 3 min it powered off and now want power on with charger or even with battery .My laptop completely not charging and any no lights blinking on it .I disassemble it and took voltage on power jack and saw that there is 19.6v in 2 little holes and in the others no voltage on the white part that connects dc power jack with the motherboard .Is it dc power jack problem or not? Sorry for my english.

Unfortunately from what you've described, it sounds like the motherboard may have failed.

I have an E7250 under use of my daughter who plays games on it. After working for couple of months it won't come on charging. After changing adapter I checked dc socket and found the two black wires on it were burnt at the contacts to the board. I replaced dc socket and it resolved the issue.
Now again after 2 months same problem is arising and when I checked the dc socket, I found the same 2 black wires at connecting socket going black, that is due to over heating.
This seems to be a design flaw, where these wires are over heating under stress and consequently failing.
The dc socket component should have been designed to cater to the maximum power requirement under stress and should not get burnt which is a safety issue as well.
Lastly Dell should give complimentary dc sockets to every customer who purchased model E7250 as a good will gesture to retain its customers.
Incidently I also have an HP 2560p with no such issues.
