Failed battery - warranty considerations

Hi,

I am utilizing latitude 5491 for over 1 year now, with 3 years NBD warranty.

Recently the laptop failed due to the failed internal "power system". The motherboard was replaced, and is working fine, but due to this power system issue, battery is broken now. Should the battery be replaced by Dell as well, even if it is over one year now (the battery was on 1 year warranty)?
