Fn+Left = Home, Fn+Right = End, please!
I have recently started using my first Dell, Latitude 5511, and I find it great so far. However, compared to previously used HP, Probook 650, I did not realize how Home key and End key are placed, in my opinion inconveniently for programmers/developers who use F1-F12 and Home, End a lot.
I found out some Dell laptops had the option to map Fn+Left to Home, Fn+Right to End in BIOS, which would be great for me and, as I understand, for quite many other people.
I wonder if is it known whether Dell plans to include this in BIOS or if it is impossible for some reasons, which would then require using third party software to have Home and End mapped to some combination of keys.

Hi Everyone,
I can across this topic by searching for a pretty similar solution. I work a lot in scripts an love to use the end and pos1/home keys, but on the other hand the F keys are pretty important for me as well. I do not need the keyboard brightness on a hotkey for example F5 is far more important.
I my case I not need the F10-12 often so a "partly" fn lock was my first suggestion. I'd like to see some feature for a single pres getting single press F1-9 and "fn lock" only F10-12 to get the end and pos1/home keys as well.
Sadly I don't have a solution right now, hopefully dell will add some kind of Feature for us.
btw. its the same on my latitude 5400 and my inspirion 7391 2n1

@Pustekuches and @Jirina There have been many requests along these lines for the last few years as Dell has removed this function from more and more laptop models. There may be some hope since one of their laptops got a BIOS update earlier this year that restored this function — see my thread here — but it’s not clear how widespread this update is or even how widespread Dell plans to make it.
