How to toggle num lock on Latitude 7420
Latitude 7420
Latitude 7420 (2021)
While in windows 10, in normal every day usage.
Num and scroll lock are used in some applications to change mode of usage. How can I change num lock status with this laptop without external keyboard?

Welcome to the Dell Community @jujo_am
That is not a function of this model laptop.
None of the keyboards for this laptop come with a numeric keypad that I can find???
The only way would be, as you stated, an external keyboard or one of these.

You should have bought a Lappy with full sized keyboard ,your options are
1. Use an external USB/Wireless keyboard (recommended)
2. Use windows onscreen keyboard > go to option > Enable Number pad.
3. Remap a less used Key on your keyboard to Num Lock.

Thanks U2CAMEB4ME, XPS_Man .
Thanks for reminding about the on screen keyboard, it also has num lock.
I think it will be best solution if there's no way to enable and find "hidden" key.
It seems that some BIOSes have fn+? combinations that are just not mentioned clearly. If someone knows one, please do add to the thread. Like Fn+s seems to be scroll lock without any visible mark on button and information of it is missing on official users guide. But it works.
and btw, this is just a "standard" gray corporate workhorse. So I would have bought different Dell model, but for different reasons (unupgradable RAM, only few ports).
