Intel RST service not running

I noticed in the lower right hand corner box that comes up on my Latitude E5540 that one of the icons showed 'Intel RST Service not running'.  When I go to task manager under services I do not see it listed.  It is not listed either in device manager under disk drives.  I do see it under services  (win/R and then services) as stopped but when I click on start it does so and then stops again.  It is listed under programs and features as installed on 5/23/2020 version 14.8.9.1053.  Not sure what to do.  Do I have to reinstall, if so, how do I do that?  Or, is it no longer needed on this machine?
