Laptop Shutdown rather than sleep
Latitude 3510
Hello everyone,
i have a Dell Latitude 3510 and there's something weird happening to it, my power plan is set to sleep if i closed the lid or pressed the power button, but instead the laptop shutdown it self whenever it goes to sleep mode.
i changed the options in the plan and it still shutdown, i checked the windows health all seems fine, i used dell support assistant to check the health of the device, there was some driver updates and bios updates so i did and everything on the assistant seems fine but still it shutdown no matter what, the only option i was able to do was to change all the sleep options to do nothing, but that's not ideal.
what's the issue here or what can i do to stop this, am using windows 11 Pro Version 22H2.
Please let me know.
Thanks in advance

In the Power Options menu, use the left-hand pane to click on Choose what the power buttons do. In the System Settings screen, change the behavior of When I press the power button to Sleep using the two drop-down menus. Then, repeat the same procedure with When I press the sleep button and with When I close the lid.

Hello and thanks for your response,
I already tried that but, I changed it to sleep but still it shut down, the only option that doesn't shut down is the do nothing, but I want to make sleep when I press the power button or close the lid which is already set but instead of sleeping it shuts down.
Thanks
