I also have this problem for about a year already. But I only found this thread now. Is any solution already known?

If you haven't checked the original specifications on your unit, that would be a good idea.  The webcam on these was optional, not standard.  Unless the situation is that the camera once worked but does not now, you'll very likely find your unit does not have the optional camera.

Dell.com/support to look up the original specifications by service tag.

My webcam worked fine the 1st 1 or 2 weeks after I got my laptop around March or April 2020. After that it stopped working.

Have you tried these steps from Dell-Cares "

1. Open Device manager and check if you see Cameras listed. Expand Cameras and advise if Integrated webcam is listed here. If you do not see any entry,

2. Restart the machine and repeatedly tap F2 key at the Dell logo to go into BIOS. In BIOS expand System Configuration and check under Miscellaneous devices, if the webcam is ticked. If it is and you are still unable to use the camera,

3. Restart the machine again and this time, tap the F12 key and select Diagnostics. Let the diagnostics complete and at the end, click on the arrow at the bottom right of the screen to go to the reports page. Here click Configuration tab and scroll down till you see Webcam/Camera and advise if you see an alphanumeric entry next to it."
