Latitude 5320 HDMI audio output problem
I have a Latitude 5320 with no sound coming from the HDMI connected monitor.
The only sound output is recognized by the internal speakers.
Does anyone have a solution?

I found that this happens when the LID switch is turned on.
When the LID switch is off, the system recognizes the sound output of the HDMI connection.

Question, what lid switch?
I have the 7420. Boot the machine with the lid closed causes this issue. Boot the machine with the lid open then only does Windows pick up Screen/TV audio via HDMI. No fix as of yet.

I have a Dell Inspiron 5406 2-in-1 and have logged this issue with Dell on serval occasions, but they have ignored me and said that I should re-install windows. The issue is that this has happened on 3 computers as I returned 2 after this issue occurred. Until the update on 11/30/2021, Dell Extension 1.6.2.531, I was able to boot with the Lip open and it did recognize HDMI Audio. Since the update, this is no longer the case. No option to get HDMI Audio.
Please continue to raise this issue with Dell. Reloading Windows is NOT the answer. Dell needs to fix this already.

Thank you for the information.
The new BIOS fixed the problem.
