Latitude 5431 hang up problem
Latitude 5431
Hello all,
i have a new Dell Latitude 5431 here.
It unfortunately makes problems as follows:
- After some time the sound starts lagging (teams, youtube or calls).
- The Windows become sluggish and start hang
- nobody can understand me anymore
- Everything runs in slow motion
Solution: Restart....
Similarities: The notebook is connected to Dell docks
What have I done so far:
- Windows new installation
- Updated all drivers
- Changed Ram
Does anyone here have any ideas? I suspect driver problems.
It is hardly possible for me to work at the moment. Two customer meetings are canceled in the middle of it.
Thx a lot

Here seems no edit button therefore the following addition:
I found the following thread:
https://www.dell.com/community/Latitude/Dell-Latitude-5431-random-CPU-performance-issues/td-p/8294858/page/5
With the help of HWMonitor I was able to reproduce it this scenario.
After some Bios downgrades. (Had to disable automatic update yet) I have now downgraded to recommended 1.2.2.
Now I will monitor whether I can at least work with this workaround.

We have the same issues with the Latitude 5431.
Unfortunately (in at least 3 cases) the problem isn't solved with the bios downgrade to 1.2.2
We also tried fiddling around with drivers and other versions of the Bios, but no luck up to now.

Same issue with latitude 5431 firmware
After try downgrade from 1.7.0 to 1.2.2 laptop work fine.
Then I try upgrade firmware from 1.7.0 to 1.8.1 release 24 Nov 2022 but still same 1.7.0 laptop lagging and cannot downgrade to 1.2.2.
