Latitude 7280 - no display after installing intel driver
When installing the intel driver on a fresh install of windows 10, my laptop screen goes blank and I can only use the laptop when I plug in to an external monitor. I've ran the epsa diagnostic tool and the LCD is clearly fine. Somehow windows no longer recognize the lcd display when I install the intel driver.
Prior to installing the video driver, I've updated the BIOS and installed all the chipset drivers...
I've been scouring all over and cannot find a solution!
Please advise.
Thank you.

After you updated the BIOS and chipset drivers was the screen working properly? Using an external monitor can you see the Intel display under display adapters? If so try uninstalling the Intel display and then reboot the system. Windows should detect and install the driver for the adapter.

You must use Dell's drivers instead of Intel's because Dell customizes the Intel drivers for your exact motherboard.
Intel posts a notice about using the OEM drivers instead of theirs.

Hi JOcean,
The screen works fine only up until installing intel display drivers.
I've done what you suggested, and it would reinstall the intel driver which leads me back to my original issue.
With the external monitor, I try to detect other monitors using Display Settings > Detect (Multiple Displays). The laptop doesn't detect the laptop lcd.

My apologies for not mentioning, all the drivers I've installed came from Dell driver & support page.
