Latitude E5410 - Battery Light Blinking Blue
I have a Latitude E5410. The batter is fully charged. The battery is 3 months old. The laptop is running on A/C power. The battery light is blinking blue about once every 2 seconds. Why?

See the Manual There is no blinking blue. Is there an amber light too?
Try removing the adapter to see if the battery works. Is is rare to find a battery for a 10 yr old laptop. Lots of scams with online sellers selling batteries.
Battery Status Lights
If the computer is connected to an electrical outlet, the battery light operates as follows:
l Alternately blinking amber light and blue light — An unauthenticated or unsupported non-Dell AC adapter is attached to your laptop.
l Alternately blinking amber light with steady blue light — Temporary battery failure with AC adapter present.
l Constantly blinking amber light — Fatal battery failure with AC adapter present.
l Light off — Battery in full charge mode with AC adapter present.
l Blue light on — Battery in charge mode with AC adapter present.

1. Check the power cord connector. During the charging process of the laptop, it is easy to cause the power indicator to flash continuously due to improper connection of the charging power supply and poor contact. You can reconfirm whether the power cable is connected correctly.
2. Shut down and restart. Sometimes the indicator light will flicker due to computer hardware operation. You can try to shut down and restart. If it is running, some of the above problems should be resolved.
3. When the battery is out, if the computer is not charged with the charger, some computers will flash the power indicator when the battery is low, which means that the battery is out. Just connect the charger to the computer and the problem will be solved.
4. Battery problem. Unplug the computer's battery while charging. If the indicator light flashes and the situation improves, it means that the problem is probably caused by the battery, such as battery aging.
5. Occasional events. Sometimes this happens suddenly. If you encounter this problem by accident, it has not happened again since then, it may just happen by accident in the computer.
