Latitude e5440 slow boot after adding SSD
Hii,
After I had added a SSD Samsung Evo 870 (500GB) to my e5440, the boot becomes very slow.
I added the SSD instead of the main HDD, and added the HDD instead of CD/DVD drive ..
So, when I click on the power button it takes about 30 seconds to get the welcome screen, which saying DELL in the center of the screen..
The operating system is installed on SSD, I have dual booting ,windows and linux.
Also after I choose windows or linux, it takes time to load it, which isn't expected in case of SS

We tried reaching you on a private message asking for the Service Tag number to ascertain the warranty but did not receive a response. Please feel free to reply to the private message whenever you are available.

To ensure the security of your information, I recommend deleting any Dell-based information (Service Tag / Express Service Code) post.

Have you tried it with Secure Boot turned off? Sounds like the second drive is causing the BIOS to hang up during POST. Try tapping F12 when you see the Dell splash screen. Then select the M.2 drive from the list which will force booting from the M.2 drive. If it boots faster then you can figure that the boot order or boot configuration is possibly suspect during boot.
