Latitude E5470 no "Keyboard Illumination" option in BIOS
Hello,
I have recently purchased Dell Latitude E5470 with a keyboard which was supposed to light. The only key that lights on is Caps Lock. I installed the newest version of BIOS and there were options "Keyboard Backlight with AC and battery" but there was not a "Keyboard Illumination" option. I also tried Fn+F10, Fn+up/down/right/left and still nothing happens. Maybe this backlit keyboard means that only Caps Lock lights... Please tell me what to do every little step by step to gain this option.

@Youhozz
One has backlit keyboard and one does not.
Same laptop model number.
A backlit keyboard does not make it a different model number.

* Enter your private Service Tag here
* On the right under, "Quick links", click "View product specs", then click "Expand All"
* Find KYBD in the list
* If you see BLIT, then your keyboard is backlit
At the Dell Support link (above) you can also look up the Service Manual for your system and this should allow you to confirm if the system shipped with a backlit or standard keyboard.
To troubleshoot further please visit this link: How to Turn Off or On and Troubleshoot the Backlit Keyboard on Your Dell Notebook Computer.
If your system is in warranty, please contact our Support Team by clicking on the GHN icon in the right corner of this page.

Hello!
I just found this thread and am experiencing the same issue. I recently purchased a E5470, but it was defective and I had to exchange it for another one. The new one that I received (same model) keyboard does not light up. I'm hoping you can help to correct this.
Thanks!

I don't understand how I had the exact same model last week and it was back lit and this one is not?

Hi U2CAMEB4ME,
Well, the F10 key means the backlit key for the keyboard. It illuminates the keyboard. To try: press Fn + F10. You will see the backlit.
