Did you replace both the keyboard and the touchpad?  If so, and the original touchpad works, the replacement is evidently faulty.

I am having the same issue.

My original keyboard has the track nub and is not lighted.
It has issues with several keys that are intermittent or send multiple characters with a single press.

The original style is no longer available.

The replacement I hhave is identical except for the track nub,

The track pad stops working when the new keyboard is installed.
Reinstalling the original keyboard gets the track pad working again.

No issues with the trackpad, except when the new keyboard is installed.
