Latitude E6410 WiFi card replacement
Latitude E6410
My E6410 is set up as a dual boot Windows XP/Linux (Ubuntu) machine. The Broadcom BCM4313 WiFi card works under XP but not Linux. Also, the Bluetooth does not work at all. I have not been able to find a suitable driver for Linux and am now thinking of changing the WiFi card to something more user friendly. Can anyone suggest a WiFi/Bluetooth card that will work under XP and Linux?
Thank you!

Your laptop uses a mini-PCIe card, a half-height card, same as my laptop. As long as you get that format, it will fit. If there are drivers (and most should install automatically via Windows Update), it will work.
A couple of our forum experts use and recommend this model: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00MV3N7UO/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
An expert on the Intel forums said that there are third-parties that make a mini-card module with Intel's AX200 (Wireless-AX, WiFi 6, BT 5.2) silicon on it. The part number is MPE-AX3000 or MPE-AX3000H. For example, this listing on AliExpress.
I've used a few cards on my laptops, including Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6230 Dual Band, Intel 1030, and other models. They all work under both Windows 10, Ubuntu, and Xubuntu, and also worked under Windows 7.
Be careful when disconnecting and connecting the tiny antenna plugs that fit over the tiny posts on the card (kind of like snap fasteners on a coat). They are fragile. And be careful to note which sides the white and black cables connect to before you disconnect the existing card.
Whenever touching components or working inside a computer, wear a grounded wrist strap, also called anti-static wrist strap, ESD wrist strap, or ground bracelet. It's a cheap and sensible precaution. Rest the laptop on an anti-static mat or at least a reasonable alternative such as corrugated cardboard.
P.S. You may already know this, but Windows XP is unsupported and highly insecure. It does not receive security patches, so it should no longer be used on a PC connected to the Internet.

Thanks for your reply! As far as I can find out, none of the cards you mentioned will work under XP with the exception of the Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6230 Dual Band and Intel 1030. I realize the security issues with XP and plan to use this computer mostly as a Linux machine. I'd like to keep the XP partition due to some of the software I have loaded and it will be used mostly on my home network, rarely on the internet under XP.
Your experience and expertise are greatly appreciated!

Not sure what the fix was but I installed every Broadcom WiFi driver from and the WiFi is now working on Linux. Wish I knew which driver made the difference. Bluetooth still doesn't work but it never worked on XP either. The BCM4313 card is supposed to include Bluetooth but for some reason it does not come on. It is enabled in the BIOS.
