Latitude E6540 completely broken?

Hello everyone, I tried unplugging CMOS battery on my old laptop today. Friend of mine came into the room and distracted me before I plugged it back in. When I got back to work I reclessly inserted main battery into its slot and pressed the power button. Stop laughing. Laptop didn't boot of course, as soon as I realised what I did I powered it off and connected CMOS battery back. Since then it doesn't boot, doesn't show Dell logo or any message at all. Here is what happens when you attemt to power it on: 1. Power button LED light up and stays this way. 2. I can hear at least one of the fans pushing the air. 3. Computer powered itself off and on once or twice, but only on first attempt. 4. Wireless, drive and battery LEDs blink once. Power on LED is shining. 5. The screen lights up with no image or message on it, and dies shortly after that. 6. Drive LED light up for a few seconds. After that nothing happens. Is there any hope to fix it?

When I took it to a dude smarter than me to reapair it the laptop just turned on normally. But the CMOS battery is very weak now, so it might have been the reason.

You probably broke something when you had your laptop apart !   .
