Latitude e7240 screen bad
Screen on my e7240 is bad blotchy..I would like to replace entire lid screen frame cover with a non touch one. Is an assembly available that does this.. anyone have some thoughts on this

You can easily find a complete and working E7240 starting at about $30 on EBay. It's just not worth spending that much or more just for the parts you'll need.

Your system is about 12 years old now, so parts aren't really manufactured for it anymore.
You might be able to find a Grade A assembly through Parts-People or eBay.
