LATITUDE E7470 BSOD crashes

Hello,

I recently got a Latitude E7470, 8 GB, 128 SSD Liteon, with a i5 6th gen.

Fresh installed the latest Windows 10 version. Latest drivers, BIOS, SSD firmware.

Windows 10 is crashing with BSOD screen almost every 5 minutes.

Time to time I'm getting these messages: "No bootable devices found"

Is this an issue with the SSD or the motherboard? or something else?

Thanks

The system seems to be stable for the past 24 hours without any BSOD so far, after installing W10 three times.

What I've done:

  • Reset bios settings to default
  • Open the laptop and move the RAM memory from slot "B" to slot "A"
  • Remove the M.2 SSD and plug it back
  • Reinstall W10 one more time with all updates, EXCEPT last 1909 cumulative update from April 2020.
  • Made an image of the SSD just in case in need to go back to this point in time

What I've NOT done:

  • Install Dell System Information tool
  • Install any drivers from Dell website
  • Install W10 1909 cumulative update from April 2020.

I cannot tell if changing the memory slot, re-seating the M.2 SSD, restoring the BIOS default settings, or AVOIDING the latest W10 cumulative patch and NOT installing Dell drivers fixed the issue. Because I've done all this at the same time.

I'm posting this in case someone has similar issues.

Thanks.

Hi,

I also have the same problem with my e7470, can you tell me did it work for you after doing all of that?

Because I had installed w10 so many times and updated all of the drivers and window updates but it still not working.

Thank you.
