Latitude E7480 task bar problems

Question

Hi folks - could anyone please advise how I can pin various shortcuts to the Task Bar, when Win10 prevents it? The shortcuts are to open simple portable programs.

This works for me on Windows 10 Home: Open the folder that contains the portable app's .exe file. Right-click the .exe file Select the command Pin to Taskbar Or, left-click and drag the .exe icon onto the Taskbar

What do you mean that it 'denied' you? Is there an error message? What happens when you try the two methods that I gave?
