I'm assuming windows 10 is on the system.....
Please click on the link below, hopefully it will be a help to you.
Try the latest touchpad gestures - support.microsoft.com
I had a look at this, but it's of no use.
My previous Dell laptop had extra mouse buttons and a trackpoint, so this is really a retrograde step.

We tried reaching you on a private message asking for the Service Tag number to ascertain the warranty but did not receive a response. Please feel free to reply to the private message whenever you are available.

Where is the service tag? Don't forget this is a weekend so my checking of work-related stuff is limited.
SO it sounds like you think this might be a hardware fault?

ST- number sent.
"As soon as I receive any of them, I can assist you with your query."
Well, let's have it, then!

Also, I think you should post either the solution, or "it can't do it" up here, rather than through private messages, for the benefit of the community.

"As per the community policy, we have access to private messaging only."
Post it up via the moderators then, as you did with the previous message.

So we seem to be going down a rabbit hole with this one.
Here's the latest from Dell support: "The scroll lock that you are looking for is not available on this model of the laptop as it doesn't have any touchpad buttons. This is a hardware limitation."
As I was asking about the middle mouse button, this seems hardly relevant. However, they have at least acknowledged that there are no separate buttons, which is probably why I can't use the trackpad to click both to simulate the middle mouse.

But it's not visible here! Seems that Dell really want to divide and conquer rather than foster a community.
Anyhow thanks (merci bien) sman33, yes I also found this info. The 3-finger gesture (!) is a bit hit-and-miss, maybe works 80% of the time, but you just keep prodding until something happens!!!
