MS3121Wt wireless mouse wheel does not wake

Hello, I cannot find the Serial Number/Tag, Product ID, or Express Code. If it was important to the troubleshooting process you would have printed that number on your branded product. But, you didn't. So, it's not.

Anyway, the problem I'm running into is that the mouse sleeps after 5-10 seconds of inactivity and then the scroll wheel fails to wake it up. This means that I have to jiggle the mouse before the scroll wheel will work. This is incredibly disruptive to my concentration, and a pain.

Is there a way to disable sleep and keep it on 24/7? I'm OK with replacing the battery every day and throwing the old ones in the landfill/river/wildlife reserve. At this point, a week after receiving my mouse, I'm so annoyed that I don't care about the consequences of those actions.

Is there a way to turn the sleep off? Or do I have to buy a better mouse from Walmart?
